Part-time communications / public relations post in London

Reporters Without Borders, the worldwide press freedom organisation, seeks a part-time communications / public relations officer at its London bureau.

You will be distributing reports and press releases to the media about violations of press freedom (working with the head of the branch and the Paris-based international secretariat), aiming for regular coverage and making key media contacts.

You will be publicising annual events, such as World Press Freedom Day and Sponsorship Day, and promoting the sale of the two books of photographs we bring out each year, as well as organising the branch’s local activities.

You should have a degree or certificate in public relations, journalism or media, have broad knowledge of politics and geography, plenty of energy and powers of persuasion and excellent writing and human relations skills. Prior experience in these areas will be an advantage.
