working in partnership with Reporters without Borders

The Journalist Centre, founded in May 2002 in Bobigny, will be inaugurating a new reception centre in Paris with a 15-bed accommodation capacity. Its purpose is to provide targeted support to journalists seeking refuge, or in exile in France, and to asylum-seekers, by welcoming them in this temporary housing facility.

A sense of solidarity with journalists forced into exile has induced numerous French media to agree to finance the Journalist Centre’s 15 rooms, thereby becoming the facility’s sponsors:

Bayard Presse, Canal +, Le Canard Enchaîné, Editions Playbac, Fondation Varenne-La Montagne, France Télévision, Milan Presse et Editions Milan, Le Monde, La Nouvelle République du Centre Ouest, Centre Presse Poitiers, Et La République du Centre, M6, Ouest France, Paris Match, Prisma Presse, Radio France, RFI, Télérama, TF1, TV5

The association also enjoys the support of the:

Association des journalistes d’Ile de France, Caisse des Dépôts, French Press Club, Télérama Works Council, Ile-de-France Regional Council, MACIF Foundation, European Refugee Foundation (ERF), ACCOR Group, Lions Club of Roissy and of Boulogne, Paris City Hall, NMPP, Novamétrie, European Parliament, French Senate, Pathé company and TDF.
